Fence mending between the Sri Lanka Government and the UAE’s Emirates
Airlines have been going on apace in the past few days with Colombo
clearing the appointment of Treasury Secretary P.B. Jayasundera as
SriLankan Airlines new Chairman with Emirates which continues to hold
43.63% of the national carrier’s equity. Emirates, maintain a good
relationship with the Treasury Secretary who helped sew-up the
privatization deal and the granting of management control to the UAE
airline, and had flashed a green light approving his appointment.
