Flyover to be
named after Jeyaraj
The Kelaniya Flyover
constructed on the initiative of the late Minister of Highways and Road
Development Jeyaraj Fernandopulle in record 61 days at a cost of Rs. 2.2
billion would be named "Jeyaraj Fernandopulle Memorial Flyover as a mark
of respect to him, Highways Minister T. B. Ekanayake said. He made this
announcement shortly after the body of the late minister was brought to
Parliament for members to pay their last respects on Monday.
