Etihad Airways, the national airline of the United Arab Emirates, has appointed Expolanka as its General Sales Agent (GSA) for the Sri Lanka market effective 1 April 2008. In terms of the agreement, Expolanka will be responsible for the sales, marketing and operations of Etihad Airways in Colombo.

Etihad operates daily on the Sri Lanka to Abu Dhabi route through a code share agreement with Sri Lankan Airlines signed in 2007. This agreement allows Etihad to offer seamless connectivity to passengers from Sri Lanka to Etihad’s key routes including London, Manchester, Paris, Munich, Geneva, Milan and Johannesburg via Abu Dhabi.
