Advisory Committee to administer North after EP polls
* Govt. decides to implement APRC proposal

The Government has decided to implement the All Party Representative Committee proposal to appoint a High level Advisory committee to administer the Northern Provincial Council, following the May 10 Elections to the Eastern Provincial Council, Presidential Secretariat sources said yesterday.
Senior Advisor to the President Basil Rajapaksa, MP, told The Island that whilst the Government restored democracy to the people of the Eastern Province by holding elections, it had decided to implement the APRC proposal to set up an advisory committee for the Northern PC.

New Year Queen
