The Commercial Bank has opened its 165th branch at No. 26, Ward Place, Colombo 7. This branch also provides Saturday banking to this busy commercial and residential area.

The new branch will be open for business six days a week, Monday to Saturday with extended business hours from 10.00 a.m. to 5.00 p.m. for the convenience of customers, the Bank said.

The new branch is equipped with two ATMs that are linked to the 300 plus ATMs of the Bank in Sri Lanka and the worldwide networks of Cirrus and Visa.

"A feature unique to the Ward Place branch is the extended business hours up to 5 pm on six days of the week," a spokesman for the Bank said. "The branch also has ample parking facilities."

He said the new branch will take some of the pressure off the Bank’s Holiday Banking Centre at Dharmapala Mawatha, opposite Town Hall, Colombo 7, which is extensively patronised on weekends and public holidays.

The Bank currently offers Holiday Banking facilities through 22 Supermarket Banking Counters and four fully-fledged Holiday Banking Centres at Colombo 7 (near Town Hall), Negombo, Ampara and Galle. In addition to this Commercial Bank operates 14 branches that offer Saturday Banking Services. The excellent facilities at Ward Place will supplement all this, the spokesman added.
