The bodies of five youth who went missing while bathing in a tributary of the Gin ganga in Viharahena, Adaradeniya in Deniyaya on Tuesday had been recovered by the Navy, Deniyaya Police said yesterday.

They were on a visit their relatives in Deniyaya during the New Year when the tragedy occurred. A group of seven had gone for a bath in this tributary which is at the foot of the 60 foot water fall named Thihawala Ella.

Police said that the victims had gone to the water fall around 6.00 p.m.
