Hitachi, which is marketed by Singer (Sri Lanka) sponsored the April Monthly Medal at the Royal Colombo Golf Club (RCGC) on April 5.
A total of over 200 golfers took part in thetournament. The weather kept fine during the whole day and a good day of golfing was enjoyed by all.
Results:
Stewart Ritchie with a score of 72 nett and a Better Back Nine emerged winner in Division ‘A’ while Sheron Fernando with the identical score of 72 nett was adjudged the runner-up.
Division ‘B’ winner was Harin Udeshi with a score of 67 nett, while Sushil Kumar was runner-up with a score of 69 nett.
Aruna Ratnayake with a score of 63 nett won the Division ‘C’ while runner-up in this division was Errol Weerasinghe with a score of 67 nett.
In the Seniors category, Gen. Rohan Daluwatte emerged winner with a score of 76 nett while the runner-up was Shirley De Silva with a score of 77 nett.
Vitus Fernando, with a score of 67 nett was winner in the Masters’ category while the runner-up was W. H. Lee with a score of 73 nett.
In the Pool Player category, M. Amarapathma was the winner with a score of 70 gross and Vijitha Bandara with a score of 72 gross was runner-up.
Hitachi has sponsored the April Monthly Medal at the RCGC for the last five years in succession.
