

BAGHDAD (AP) - Police say a suicide bomber has struck a funeral in a town north of Baghdad, killing at least 45 people.
Police officials say the bomber detonated his explosives Thursday during a funeral in the town of Albu Mohammed. The police say the funeral was for two slain members of the local Awakening Council, a group of Sunni Muslim tribesmen who have been battling al-Qaida militants.
The officials say at least 45 people have died. The officials in the city of Kirkuk spoke on condition of anonymity because they are not authorized to talk to the media.
