KANDY - The rider and the female pillion rider of a motor-cycle were killed following a collision of the motor-bicycle with a CTB bus at Digana, yesterday (20).

The fatal accident occurred near a fuel station, Balagoda police said.

The rider Ruwan Deshapriya (33) of Balagoda and his neighbour on the pillion, R. Udeni (36), succumbed to their injuries on admission to the Peradeniya Teaching Hospital, according to the police.

IP Premachandra OIC, Balagoda police, is conducting further investigations. The driver of the CTB bus is in custody, police said.
