Heavy rain in Kurunegala prompted this year’s Inter-Provincial Twenty-20 cricket organisers, Sri Lanka Cricket, to call off the ‘Super Four’ round that was to be held amongst the top four teams of this year’s tourney for a period of three days beginning Monday. The six ‘Super Four’ matches were scheduled to be played at the Welagedara Stadium, Kurunegala.

SLC resorted to have another draw so as to curtail the number of matches, amidst unfriendly weather conditions, and to go for a straight semi-final round, after which the two winners will enter straight to the May 1 final to be held at the same venue. Both semis are set for this Wednesday (30) with the first one starting at 10.30 a.m. followed by the second starting at 2.15 pm.
