The Ampegama Samurdhi Bank was robbed on Wednesday (30) by two armed men who had threatened to kill its manager. They robbed Rs. 21,000 in cash and also a gold necklace from one of the female employees of the bank, Baddegama Police said.

The two robbers had fled the scene on a motorcycle after the robbery, but no suspects have been arrested, OIC Baddegama Police Buddhi Udugamasuriya said.
