The Board of Directors of John Keells Holdings Plc., announced the resignation of Rusi Captain from the Board of Directors of John Keells Holdings Plc. with immediate effect.
In a letter to Susantha Ratnayake, Chairman of John Keells Holdings Plc., Captain stated that his resignation was due to his greater involvement in his varied business interests. He was also quoted as saying,
"Being a part of the JKH Board has been an enjoyable and enlightening experience for me and I wish to place on record that I am most confident in you and your team and hence it is our intention to remain significant shareholders."
Susantha Ratnayake, Chairman, John Keells Holdings Plc. stated that Captain and his connected parties have been very supportive shareholders all along and expressed his appreciation of his contribution to the Group during his tenure as a director and thanked him for the confidence expressed in the Company and the management team.
