KANDY - Two policemen of the rank of sergeant an
constable were knocked down by a negligent driver of a motor car at
Wadugodapitiya Mawatha on Sunday (4) night, Kandy police said.
Police constable Karunaratne who sustained injuries of
severe nature was admitted to Peradeniya Teaching Hospital Police said.
Five persons including the driver of the car with the
vehicle were taken into custody for questioning in connection with the
mid-night accident police added.
