Colombo Additional Magistrate, Kavinda Nanayakkara ordered an inquest into the death of an unidentified man who was run over by a container truck at Bloemendhal Road, Colombo 13.

At the inquest held by Additional City Coroner Ashroff Rumy recently, Saliya Kumara, the driver of the container said that he was approaching the Bloemendhal Road when some people shouted that a person was under a wheel. Upon looking he saw a body under the rear wheel. The injured person was admitted to the National Hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.
