

The 24-hour hot line service launched by the Ministry of Human Rights and Disaster Management for the public to inquire about arrests, detentions, suspicious abductions and disappearances recieved 17 inquiries on May 7, the day it was inaugurated, a Ministry press release said.
It is known as 24X7 ‘ADA Hotline’ through which the public could complain 24 hours a day in all three languages on telephone numbers 011 2676513 or 0602119246.
One of the calls received on the first day was from Australia. Authorities who inquired into the complaints had positively informed two complainants of the whereabouts of two persons who were alleged to have gone missing, the release said.
