Akuressa police took into custody a 64-year-old teacher of a dancing institute, alleged to have sexually molested 9 teenage girls being trained under him, on a complaint made by their parents to Akuressa police OIC Deshabandu Tissa Senanayake on 2008.5.3 night.

The suspect, after being produced before the Matara Magistrate on 2008.5.5 was ordered remand for two weeks.

The 9 girls who are admitted to Matara general hospital for a medical check, are to be produced with their parents at the next court proceeding.

Further investigations are held under the instructions of the Matara senior S. P. B. P. B. Ayupala.
