A meeting that President Mahinda Rajapaksa had with UPFA leaders yesterday ended without a final decision on the Eastern Province Chief Minister.

Sources said the meeting had lasted over four hours from 4 pm. The swearing in ceremony scheduled for today at 2 pm has been postponed.

The President is scheduled to meet the newly elected Eastern Provincial Councilors today.
