Minister Nimal Siripala De Silva has missed the point in Vijitha Herath's declaration that it is not the Tigers that killed Jeyaraj Fernandopulle. Vijitha Herath's intention was not to whitewash the Tigers as surmised by Minister Silva, but to please their new-found mentor Ranil Wickramasinghe by becoming his mouth-piece. He has done it with ingenuity praising Jeyaraj and pretending to safeguard his good name - a modus operandi that Ranil Wickremesinghe could not indulge in.

Carry on Comrade Vijitha, but see to it that your ingenuity is more subtle and less transparent.
