Lankangeeks is the first Sri Lankan website retailers of Geeks T – shirts. It was started as a simple idea to create and sell stuff that would appeal to thousands of Sri Lankan IT professionals surfing the internet , the founder of the website Nishshnka de Silva said.
He said that he had started lankangeeks in mid 2007. But it was only the site without any products. He commenced operations in April this year. Now it is operating successfully.
"The story behind the lankangeeks is realy unbelievable. This is an experiment I did in my free time. But, finally we started the business and now it is well organised. There are no other places to buy Geeks products in Sri Lanka. But, there are so many online shops for Geeks products. If someone orders one T – shirt from one of these sites it would cost more that SLR 2000.00," Nishshanka said.
However lankangeeks offers the same quality T – shirts for Rs. 660. That is the main difference.
"We are planning to release our newest T – shirts next moth. Currently we are having more that 30 designs on our e – shop at www.lankangeeks.com. We specialize in, geeks and nerds novelty printed T – shirts. We carry the best new designs and styles with hundreds of hard to find originals. Lankangeeks customers include Geeks, University students, T – shirt fanatics, major corporations, small businesses, organizations, clubs and teams," he said.
