


UNP activist Upul Shantha Sannasgala’s abrupt decision not
to contest the Sabaragamuwa Province as the UNP’s chief ministerial
candidate has revealed the existence of a mole in the highest circles of
the main opposition party.
Well informed sources said an angry Sannasgala had quit
the race after a confidential discussion he had with the UNP nomination
board was leaked to the top SLFP leadership immediately after he had left
Siri Kotha.
