It is not surprising that successive Sri Lankan governments of the past have been accused of collaborating with a systematic annihilation of Tamils in Sri Lanka through communal riots of 1958, 1977, 1983 and the callous disregard to the pain and suffering of the victim with no legal or political recourse for the Tamil population until very recent times and that with the advent of the present regime. |
