Five LTTE terrorists were killed 16 reported injured
in heavy fighting in the Kiribbanwewa area in Welioya on Friday morning,
MCNS reported.
A LTTE terrorist was killed in a confrontation with
troops also on Friday while two others were killed and ten were reported
injured by Army artillery fire around 4.00 p.m. One terrorist was also
killed in the fighting when troops captured a bunker in the same area of
Kiribbanwewa North. Four terrorists were reported injured in fighting with
troops on Friday afternoon, MCNS said.
A LTTE terrorist was killed and two were reported injured
when the Army launched a fierce attack and captured a bunker in Janakapura
North, Welioya on Friday evening, it said.
