Two Indian fishing vessels and ten fishermen arrested by
the Sri Lanka Navy last week in the waters off Mullaitivu were handed over
to the officials of the Indian High Commission on Monday after
investigations.
The Navy took into custody, two echo sounder machines, two
GPS machines and two mobile phones along with the boats and fishermen. The
Navy said the latter were fed and looked after well by them while they
were in their custody before being handed over to the Indian authorities.
