This is with reference to Mr. Bandu Silva’s write up on the Youth Ministry’s backyard garbage dump in The Island of  12th  August.

Probably due to the complaints made earlier to the CMC, a few days back, two uniformed officers from the Health Department of the Municipality rode through the access road to the Housing Scheme adjoining the Youth ministry on a motor bicycle. If only they cared  to look, they would  have noticed the garbage dumps, and tree cuttings etc. thrown in front of the houses and taken prompt action.

Also, it should not be difficult to trace the offenders who dump garbage at this particular site in view of the clues already provided.

However nothing seems to have happened and it is doubtful whether anything will happen.
