Army, Police at
SE campus

Following the shooting of
a Sinhalese student at the South Eastern University, the authorities have
called in the army and police to provide security to the campus premises.
All persons entering the university are being checked. Sinhalese students
were admitted to the Eastern University in Vandaramoolai after a long time
and for the first time 102 Sinhalese students were admitted to the South
Eastern University in Oluvil. Following the killing of the student most
other Sinhalese students had left the campus.
