The 25 overs a side ‘Friendly’ encounter was inaugurated in 2004, during Tyrone de Silva’s tenure as MCA President.
The 2004 and 2005 matches went in favour of Lanka Cavaliers, the 2006 match ended in a tie and MCA managed to win last year’s match at the Colts grounds.
As the hosts this year, MCA will offer four special awards, for the Best Batsman, Best Bowler, Best Fielder and the Man of the Match.
Tyrone de Silva will grace the occasion as the chief guest.
