President Mahinda Rajapaksa will on Thursday (4) swear-in the chief ministers of the Sabaragamuwa and North Central Provinces, sources said yesterday.
Berty Premalal Dissanayake will be sworn in as the Chief Minister of the North Central Province while Maheepala Herath will be sworn in as Chief Minister the Sabaragamuwa Province.
On the results of the provincial polls, the UPFA has 22 members, including two bonus seats in the North Central Provincial Council and 20 members in the Sabaragamuwa Provincial Council with the 2 bonus seats.
The two councils will hold their inaugural meetings next week to elect the chairmen and deputy chairmen, sources also said.
