It was a great service for subscribers who do not use the SLT e-mail accounts to send and receive e-mails over this connection using their own respective ISP (Internet Service Providers) e-mail accounts etc.
Usually to send e-mails from non-SLT accounts over SLT, SMTP servers required the graceful service of relaying them over SLT mail servers.
It appears that SLT has stopped relaying e-mails of non-SLT e-mail account holders and due to this reason those who use other ISPs for their internet services such as e-mails have been left high and dry.
But due to the fact that ADSL subscribers are paying customers of SLT, they should take a more customer-oriented stance and allow them to relay their e-mails thus keeping them as a satisfied customer base.
It is understandable that relieving their SMTP servers by leaving out non-SLT account holders’ e-mail, SLT must be trying to ease their SMTP server load, but adding more SMTP servers and enhancing their service would keep everybody happy.
I humbly request the SLT authorities to take measures to remedy this and help their own clients, whether they use SLT e-mail services or not.
