JVP MP Anura Dissanayake has requested Media Minister
Anura Priyadarshana Yapa to provide air time on Rupavahini and ITN to
respond to a spate of allegations levelled against the party.
In a letter to Yapa, Dissanayake accused the two
television stations of restricting their political programmes to
government politicians and politicians supportive of the ruling coalition.
He specifically mentioned the recent statements made by his erstwhile
colleague Wimal Weerawansa, MP, over Janamathaya, telecast by Rupavahini.
