Who will be the lucky dream star to own this luxury car?

Popular reality show Derana Dream Star was created to appreciate and reward the singing talents of the youth of our country. The aim of Derana TV was to identify and develop the hidden singing abilities of many young talented Sri Lankans from the busy city of Colombo to the urban areas of the country.

Organised by Derana TV, which is rapidly becoming the family channel of today, the station received more than 22,000 applications and had to short list the contestants for the first round of the competition being currently held. The winner in the final round of the Derana Dream Star contest would receive a gift worth a staggering Rs. 46 lakhs: which would be made up of Rs. 20 lakhs in cash and a Suzuki Swift car worth more than 26 lakhs. This car comes with all the latest fittings and features introduced in 2008.

There are many reasons as to why AMW decided to come forward as a sponsor, by presenting a Suzuki Swift car, in this very popular contest to select the best singer island wide. Elaborating further, the Sales Manager of AMW Motorways, Mr. Viran de Soyza said that they selected the Suzuki Swift because it has always been in high demand with the younger generation, youthful professionals and even the middle aged. The reason for the attraction to the Suzuki Swift is its sporty look, special features and the outstanding design and finish. He further stated that it is the dream of many of young people to be the owner of such an impressive vehicle and that was another reason as to why they decided to gift this vehicle to the winner, which in turn would make his dream come true. He further stated that AMW is honoured to be a sponsor to this wonderful programme and consider it a privilege to be a part of it as appreciating and rewarding the talents of the future generation is a responsibility of any national organisation.
