The Singer group of companies has made some new board appointments with Mr. Ajit Jayaratne joining the board of Singer Industries with effect from August 21 with Mr. V.G.K Vidyaratne as his alternate.

Dr. Saman Kelegama has joined the board of Regnis (Lanka) Limited with effect from August 21, the company has announced in a Stock Exchange notification.

Mr. Renton de Alwis, Chairman of the Sri Lanka Tourist Board, has joined the board of Richard Pieris Exports with effect from August 14 with Mr. Cubby Wijetunge, who retired some months ago from Nestle Lanka, also joining the board of this company with effect from August 14.

Another new board appointment made by Richard Pieris Exports is that of Mr. Viville Prasidus Perera who has joined the board from August 1.

Mrs. Kimarli Fernando, Director/CEO of the Pan Asia has been made a director of LB Finance with effect from August 26 while Mr. Mangala Goonatilleke has joined the Pan Asia board with effect from August 27.

Mr. P.G. Rupasinghe has been appointed to the board of the Merchant Bank of Sri Lanka from August 27 and Sampath Bank has announced that Mr. Harris Premaratne will succeed Mr. Anil Amarasuriya as its CEO from October 2. Amarasuriya retires from the post of MD/CEO with effect from September 14 but will continue as MD/CEO till the end of this year.

BOI Chairman Dhammika Perera has resigned from the board of Lanka Ceramics with effect from August 28 while Mr. T.W. de Silva and his alternate Mr.D.G.P. Fernandopulle have resigned from the board of E-Channelling with effect from September 1.

Mr. V.G.K. Vidyaratne has resigned from the board of Singer Industries with effect from August 21.
