Denouncing Saturday’s terrorist bombings in New Delhi, the Sri Lankan government has reiterated its backing for all comprehensive measures that were being taken to eradicate terrorism.

Foreign Minister Rohitha Bogollagama’s statement is as follows: "It is with great distress that the Government and People of Sri Lanka have learned about series of terrorist bomb attacks in New Delhi last night resulting in loss of life and injury to innocent people. Sri Lanka unequivocally condemns such barbaric acts of terrorism which can never be justified under any circumstances for whatever reason.
