Sri Lanka ‘A’ to play in Vizag
HYDERABAD: Sri Lanka ‘A,’ with some of the big names of the country’s national team in its line-up, will be visiting Visakhapatnam to take part in friendly matches to be organised by the Andhra Cricket Association (ACA) from October 10, V. Chamundeswaranath, Secretary, ACA, said.

He said the round-robin schedule would feature host Andhra, Karnataka, Hyderabad and the Sri Lanka ‘A’ team to be sent by Sri Lanka Cricket.

"Essentially, we are aiming to ensure good match practice for all the players from the above states ahead of a hectic season," he said.

The ACA is also planning to give away some prize money if everything goes as per the plans on the sponsorship front.

Chamundeswaranath also said that the Andhra under-19 team would be playing practice matches in Hyderabad immediately after the conclusion of the triangular ‘A’ series featuring India, Australia and New Zealand.
