Thomians start with a bang
S. Thomas’ College Mount Lavinia commenced the First XI cricket season with a bang as they romped to an innings and one run victory over Dharmaraja College, Kandy, in their Inter School Under-19 match played at Mount Lavinia on Saturday.

The Thomians recorded the victory with the help of three fine bowling performances and with just one half century (64 from Fahim Saleem).

Leg spinner Chamal Fonseka picked up six wickets for 27 runs to restrict Dharmaraja to 119 and the left arm, right arm pace combination of Hemaka Ariyaratne and Chamod Pathirana shared all ten wickets in the second innings.
