Elections, judicial, police, civil service and human rights commissions have been established to ensure the conduct of a free and fair poll, Didi said.

The election will be monitored by the European Union and SAARC observer teams. If the first round of voting does not produce a clear winner, then a second count will have to be taken. The new constitution stipulates that the President should elected before October 10."
