IPM Sri Lanka -  representative
appointed as Secretary General of APFHRM
Asia Pacific Federation of Human Resources Management (APFHRM) held its meeting on 03rd September 2008 in Wellington, New Zealand coinciding with the HR Conference of Human Resource Institute of New Zealand.

IPM Sri Lanka represented by Janaka Kumarasinghe was appointed as the Secretary General of the APFHRM for the next two years. APFHRM comprising of 15 Member countries namely Australia, Bangladesh, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Japan, Malaysia, New Zealand, Papua New Guinea, Philippines, Singapore, Sri Lanka, Taiwan, Thailand and Saudi Arabia. Peter Wilson of Australian Human Resource Institute will be the President of APFHRM for the next two years.

This is first time that Sri Lanka holds this prestigious position in the APFHRM. Kumarasinghe is a Past President of the APFHRM and Past President – IPM, who is also a Fellow Member of IPM.

The theme of the New Zealand HR Conference was "Sustaining Work". The Conference papers can be downloaded from http://conference.hrinz.org.nz.
