

A three wicket win on Sunday, helped South Africa ‘A’ to square the five match One-Day series against Sri Lanka in Pietermarizburg yesterday. After restricting the tourists to 218 for five in 50 overs, South Africa got home with three wickets and ten balls to spare.
Left arm fast bowler Yusuf Abdullah picked up three early wickets and helped South Africa ‘A’ to reduce their opponents for 32 for three before half-centuries by captain Thilina Kandamby, Kaushal Silva and Angelo Matthews helped them to 218.
Riding on an unbeaten 86 by Dean Elgar, the South Africans reached the target in 48.2 overs. Dilruwan Perera and Ishara Amerasinghe picked up two wickets apiece for the Sri Lankans.
