

Party leaders in Parliament yesterday decided to suspend the sittings of Parliament on Thursday (25) as a mark of respect to former President D. B. Wijetunga whose remains will be brought to Parliament on that day.
His remains will lie in Parliament from 9.00 a.m. to 11.00 a.m. to enable parliamentarians to pay their last respects. A vote of condolence on the late President D. B. Wijetunga will be taken up Parliament on October 8.
