Police commandos in two
separate confrontations with the LTTE on Sunday (21) and Tuesday (23) in
the Ampara-Batticaloa theatre, killed three LTTE cadres and recovered one
T-56 assault rifle, four T-56 magazines, six hand grenades, one
communication set, one pair of binoculars, one cyanide capsule, one knife
and a small stock of food items.
