

Isipatana College Colombo, created history by producing two outstanding schoolboy ruggerites to represent the country, along with a senior at the World Cup Qualifying Sevens rugby tournament to be held on October 4 and 5, in Hong Kong.
The First XV captain of Isipatana College, Dinusha Chathurnaga and Sajith Saranga also of Isipatana have been picked along with 10 other senior players, led by crack centre three quarter, Pradeep Liyanage to represent Sri Lanka.
Among the other players are Amjad Buksh, Mohamed Sheriff, Dilanka Wijesekara, Wazeem Thajudeen, Ashen Karthelis, Ashan De Costa, Lasith De Costa, Saliya Kumara and Chula Susantha.
The team, currently coached by two South Africans Drvy Snyman and Norman Laker along with the local expert Alex Chanka, are expected to leave the island on October 1.
Notable absentees in the team are former captain Sanjeewa Jayasinghe and Fazil Marija. Marija kept away from practice sessions on medical grounds while Jayasinghe has sighted personal reasons for his absence.
