An unidentified person
lobbed a hand grenade into the house of Tamil National Alliance (TNA)
Ampara district parliamentarian, Chandra Nehru Chandrakanthan, on the
Thirukkovil main street, Tuesday at 10 p.m, police said. At the time of
the attack, several policemen had been guarding the residence, police
said.The blast had damaged the front portion of the house. (NP)
