Renuka Perera

Renuka Perera, an IT Officer attached to the Department of Sports Development, has developed a software to judge gymnastic events that will help in result processing. In gymnastics, six judges and the chief judge give separate marks for a gymnast and the software works in such a way that once the judges have inserted their marks, within a second, the final score comes up following an accurate mathematical process.

The new software allows accurate results and is easy to administer and it also stores the records of a gymnast during his entire career and is able to come up with future predictions. Its transparency allows an accurate selection process too.
