International airfares on the decline -Thai

International airlines have begun to slash airfairs.
Weerawat Swasdibutra, General Manager for Sri Lanka Maldives, Thai Airways International yesterday said that the airline has further reduced the airfares with effect from 16 November.

He attributed the slashing of the fares to the drop in fuel prices internationally and the situation in Thailand returning to normal with no interruptions to any flights. Swasdibutra also said that the airline is looking forward to celebrating our 32 years of uninterrupted service in Sri-Lanka on 03rd November this year and have decided to offer a Special Fare to Bangkok, which has already been offered to the market.

Swasdibutra said recently Thai Airways reduced the airfare overall by 15%, effective 01st October 2008. Due to the world fuel prices declining,Thai Airways International has made decision to reduce the fuel surcharge further and pass on the benefit to the traveller. making it more attractive and affordable to our discerning travellers. With this second reduction from TG, we have proposed A new Fare Structure based on segments of Regional to Regional routes (Asia -Asia) and on Regional to Intercontinental routes (Asia – Europe – Australia/New Zealand – USA), thus making it available globally.
