Celebrate Diwali at Trans Asia

Light up your year by coming by the Trans Asia hotel and enjoying what Indian Chef Rana at the Saffron Restaurant has prepared for you! Keeping in mind those who wish to remain vegetarian after visiting the Temple, Chef Rana has taken time and pride to create some menus that could be enjoyed over this festive period. Three different "Thalis" are all yours to enjoy. The first two are totally vegetarian, and one comprises a fried lentil soup, with cottage cheese pakoras, Kabuli Pilau which is Basmathi rice with dried fruits and peas, potato with cumin, white lentil with Indian spices, butter parata and pinstaji kheer which is rice cooked in milk and pistachios, or Rasmalai all put together in one banana leaf lined thali.

The second "Thali" has within it's circumference an Indian spiced chick pea soup, deep fried mashed potatoes with mint chutney, Basmathi rice cooked with ghee and Indian spices, Gobi Ki Bahaar which is cauliflower cooked with ginger, garlic and tomato, Dal Angabari - a mixed vegetable dish cooked in fresh cream and cashewnuts, some lentil cooked in ginger and coriander, butter naan and Badami Kheer (rice cooked in milk and almonds) or Rasmalai.

The above mentioned vegetarian thalis' are priced at Rs.850 inclusive of all taxes, a festive deal no doubt!

For the non-vegetarians, is a "Thali" comprising Fish Tikka or Phal Dhari Tikka which is chicken cubes marinated with ginger, garlic and curd and char coal broiled. There is another dish of mutton cubes cooked in a cashewnut paste, fresh cream and butter, Panjabi Murugh - Chicken cubes cooked with Tomato, onions, Indian spices, fresh cream and butter. For vegetables are the Mutter Makhani which is Green peas cooked in butter, ginger and cumin, and Lasooni Dal which is a garlic flavoured lentil, served with Paneer Khash Pilau which is Basmati rice mixed with cottage cheese. There's also a Butter Kulcha, or Butter Naan, and for dessert is Carrot Halwa, or Rasmalai. However, this Thali would cost you only Rs.1200 inclusive of all taxes!

These thalis will be on offer between the dates of 24th and 28th October during lunch and dinner at the Saffron, and all Hindu patrons are wished a Very Happy Diwali.
