Turnover up while indices drop marginally

Turnover at the end of yesterdays trading shot up from Rs. 88 million on Friday to Rs. 213 million bolstered by large parcels of Dialog (3.2 million), JKH (0.8 million ) and Chevron (0.6millon). However both indices dropped, marginally with the ASI dropping from 1.998.84 to 1,968.29 and Milanka from 2,235.94 to 2,210.45.

Among the other significant contributors to the days turnover were Lanka IOC 0.1mn at Rs. 24.25 losing Rs.1.00, Nawaloka 0.2mm at Rs.2.20 losing =/10 Cts, Vallibel 0.1mn at Rs.4.40 losing =/10Cts and Lanka Cement 0.1mn at Rs.9.00 losing =/75Cts.

While both Dialog and Chevron remained unchanged at Rs.8.00 and Rs. 106.00 respectively, JKH shares registered a loss of Rs. 2.75
