

Thondaman allocates Rs.13.6 million to renovate upcountry roads
The Minister of Youth Empowerment and Socio Economic Development and the General Secretary of CWC, Arumugan Thondaman has allocated 13.6 million to renovate the upcountry roads and to boost the upcountry people’s living condition in and around the Panvila estate area in Kandy.
The Minister had decided to renovate the roads after his visit to the area recently to discuss matters affecting the residents. He had gathered first hand knowledge on the hardships experienced by the workers and other shortcomings in the area. The minister had taken measures to improve the road network to lessen the difficulties of the people.
Central Provincial Council Member, D Madiyugaraga Minister’s Advisor, M. K. D. G. Meegoda, CWC Vice President, M. Manimuttu, Minister’s Private Secretary, M. Naushard Junaideen, and A. W. Ariyadasa Veevaduna, were also participated at the event.
