If Brigitte Bardot had been a rock chick, she would probably have looked exactly as Kate Moss does in her latest modelling stint.
In a selection of black and white pictures, photographed by Mert and Marcus, she is the image of BB, in her sizzling, young, sex symbol days. The lips are a perfect Bardot pout; the hair is a tousled, blonde, just-out-of-bed, mess of dishevelment, which is tossed over dark, smokey eyes that are ringed with black kohl.
Launching in stores on October 28th, this is the 8th collection the model has done for the chain and the key style signature is rock ‘n’ roll-glam. Party dresses, fringed and leather jackets, stovepipe jeans and embroidered hippy tops all exude Kate’s fearless rock ‘n’ roll spirit.
40 ‘limited edition’ evening dresses are the focal point of the new range and include slinky, embroidered satin and chiffon, floor-length evening dresses, inspired by the era of F.Scott Fitzgerald which Kate so loves. One backless, floor-sweeping gown is entirely covered with midnight-blue sequins. 10 of these gowns will be available at Topshop’s flagship Oxford Circus store at £400 each. Capelets are also vintage-inspired and feature gold fringing and brocade detailing.
Other pieces in the collection include bell-sleeved blouses, furry mohair oversize knits, cropped jeans and leather trousers, strapless LBD’s and sequinned Breton-stripe T-shirts. The collection, priced between £22 for a T to £150 for a premium dress, is also available from October 28th online.
