Mr. R. Seevaratnam and Mr. Faiz Mohideen have been
appointed Non-Executive Directors of Kelani Valley Plantations PLC with
effect from October 30, the company announced.
Seevaratnam, previously a partner of KPMG Ford, Rhodes,
Thornton and Company until his retirement from September 2005 is a
Chartered Accountant while Mohideen a retired Deputy Secretary to the
Treasury, has previously served as a Director of the Bank of Ceylon and
Securities and Exchange Commission.
He held senior office in the public service including the
position of Director General of External Resources. He holds a BSc degree
in Mathematics from the University of London and an MSc in Econometrics
from the London School of Economics.
