I was very interested (as
always) by your editorial today. In particular, about your comment about
the qualifications of Mr. Ashantha de Mel to be appointed Chairman of the
CPC. I have often wondered about this myself.
As schoolboys, when we thought we had detected someone telling an
untruth (or even a gross exaggeration), we would say "that’s a sixer!".
Perhaps Mr. de Mel’s cricketing proficiency included hitting "sixers"!
