They didn’t play the game for ‘the money’ but they did so because of the love for the game. But now it’s changed! It seems to us that the new players are only playing because of the money.

We are losing interest in the game now. We watch whenever SL play (I’m in the US), at whatever time, maybe early morning, sometimes late at night. But I am sure we will stop doing it soon. It’s a pretty sad situation.

Teams earn a lot of money. But when was the last time they donated something for the war heroes in Sri Lanka? I remember, when Marvan Atapattu was captain, they donated water bottles after the Tsunami disaster. But we have not heard of anything like that since.

The minister and Sri Lanka Cricket should look into this matter.
